What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy modality that works with the body’s own remarkable healing capabilities. It helps to promote and accelerate the natural healing process and restore balance on all levels, physical, mental and emotional.
Reiki is totally safe and complementary to any form of treatment, be it natural or conventional, and can often be used in circumstances where other therapies may be contraindicated.
Reiki can be used by anyone of any age or physical circumstance as the transmission of the Reiki energy is non-draining and not dependent on the health or the belief systems of the practitioner. Humans, animals and plants can all benefit from the use of Reiki.
What can Reiki do for me?
Reiki:
- Enables you to take responsibility for your own health and well-being Dramatically reduces stress
- Increases energy and vitality
- Effectively treats a wide range of ailments and disease
- Provides a ‘first aid kit’ in the palm of your hands
Learning Reiki:
Anyone can learn Reiki and you need no prior qualifications to attend a Reiki Level One workshop. Training usually takes place over a two day period. During the workshop you receive the four attunements that align your body to Reiki. Thorough theory and practical training is given with talks on how Reiki works, the causes of disease and how to treat yourself and others.
After the workshop the Reiki energy is present for life and can be activated through your hands any time you wish to treat yourself or others.
After the workshop there is ongoing support through newsletters, and a monthly Reiki Share group that meets at 282D River Valley and is hosted by Elaine.
